Sustainability is at the heart of everything we do
Fison Barn is a stunning example of sustainability at its very best. All drinking water is from our on-site well and our biomass boiler provides under floor heating during winter for all our buildings. We harvest rain water for our toilets and our solar panels generate around 10,000 Wh of greenhouse free electricity each year.
Surrounded by wildlife
Our Fison Barn opens onto our tranquil courtyard where bats and swallows have made their homes in the barn eaves and floral displays of herb and plants attract butterflies and insects.
Only 20 minutes from Oxford
Nestling at the foot of the Wittenham Clumps, the Northmoor Trust centre is set admist 700 acres of stunning countryside yet is conveniently located just 20 minutes from Oxford and 30 minutes from the M4 and Reading.

Catering
We don't at the moment offer in-house catering, but we can provide a list of our preferred suppliers for all catering styles whether you are planning a medieval banquet or a more informal hog roast!
*Arranging a visit to view the Barns
Fison Barn is not staffed or open to the general public.
Appointments to view the facilities must be made giving at least 24 hours notice, by phone, through the Northmoor Trust Office, which is open from 9am to 5pm weekdays only. Call 01865 407792. Normal viewing times will be during office hours, occasionally we may be able to offer an early evening or weekend visit.
Poem Tree Refreshments Barn
The Poem Tree Refreshments Barn may be hired on its own by special arrangement and only in conjunction with access to the Project Timescape exhibition. This extra facility can be offered when the centre is not open to the general public, or booked by a school group. There is also an additional break out room available. Hire charges on request.
